Commemorative Plaque

Dedicate a special anniversary or honour a loved one with the gift of a Commemorative plaque on the Sobey Wall of Honour. Each plaque will be installed on the wall of the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21.

Your $500.00 donation gives you:

• A commemorative plaque inscribed with the person's name(s) of your choice.
• A virtual commemorative plaque displayed on our Virtual Sobey Wall of Honour.
• An opportunity to share your or your loved one’s story under your virtual commemorative plaque.
• A card, sent by the Museum to the honouree/recipient letting them know about your gift.

Installation Dates

Keepsake Plaque

Commemorative plaque donors are eligible to purchase a Keepsake plaque at a cost of $150 plus applicable tax. The keepsake plaque is a mounted replica, like the one below, to display at home or to give to a loved one.

Thanks to the Sobey Foundation’s generous gift, the Museum will be able to grow its virtual wall and expand the onsite Sobey Wall of Honour onto the second level of the Museum, and continue to honour the stories and the legacy of Canadians who came seeking a better future for themselves and their families.
