Artist-in-Residence 2019 – Katarina Marinic

During her summer residency, professional photographer Katarina Marinic brought together historical imagery and contemporary portraits of visitors taken on site in a large-scale video projection. Katarina’s project was in support of the exhibition Family Bonds and Belonging. Collecting images from the museum’s archive, her own family photos, and new photos of visitors, Katarina combined these into a video that brought together past and present in a continually moving display of images, representing the long journey made by immigrants.
